Doddie Aid is a virtual mass-participation exercise event founded by former Scotland captain, Rob Wainwright that lasts for 6 weeks from January 1st, 2023. With this event any exercise counts, with the winning district being the one with the most miles at the end of the event! Every participant receives a free snood in their districts colours when then sign up!
The aim of Doddie Aid is to raise funds for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation which invests in research to find meaningful treatments for Motor Neuron Disease (MND). Each district has its own JustGiving page which you can fundraise for so whether you are supporting Edinburgh, Glasgow, North and Mids, Barbarians, South or Wales you can raise money for your district! Set a challenge to get your miles in during Doddie Aid and ask family and friends to sponsor you! From previous years we have seen everything from running every day of the challenge to rowing the Atlantic.
Here at The Cycle Jersey, we manufacture your free snoods! All the profits after the cost of the snoods and event will go to My Name’5 Doddie Foundation to fund research to find a cure for Motor Neuron Disease. You should receive your snood roughly two weeks after signing up for Doddie Aid
Over the last two years Doddie Aid has seen over 30,000 participants cover 4 million miles and raise over £2 million for the Foundation. We can’t wait to see what you will all achieve for Doddie Aid 2023! Good luck!
