Help for Heros

TCJ Sponsor Veteran Soldiers

We're very, very excited about Laura and Patricks Trike Tour Challenge!  In a little under 70 days (13th May 2017), the pair will be leaving the grounds of Edinburgh Castle on their brand spanking new custom made trikes; that cater to their life changing disabilities, caused when serving their duties in the British Army.

They'll also look the part!  Because we're fully kitting them out with custom cycle jerseys, flags and of course some stickers! In aid of supporting their efforts and raising further awareness of their sponsors.

Breaking the mould and facing an incredibly challenging trike ride Laura and Patrick aren't letting their disabilities hold them down; cycling approx. 518 miles in only 10 days (I should probably mention - one of  the trikes is HAND POWERED)!

They embark on this mammoth challenge in the hope of raising as much money as possible, for two great charities; Veterans With Dogs and Help For Heroes.  Both have helped cater to each of their needs and contributed to improving daily life.

As you can imagine, not everyone recovers and bounces back to civi life, after the forces.  Anti-social behaviour and addiction problems are the most common amongst all cases, and as expected the least talked about.  Addiction can be managed and treated with the right care, mind set and communication sources.  Cassiobury Court offers free help and advice to veterans who suffer with addiction and mental health problems.

Whatever the nature or the circumstances of alcohol and drug use in the Armed Forces, many of its members feel a sense of isolation in their suffering and it is extremely difficult for them to seek help.  Please bare this service in mind when helping to raise awareness for Laura and Patrick.
