Red Bull Foxhunt 2016; the MTB event of the year that every woman can't wait to dig their heels into!  With a mass start of 249 woman and one reigning  MTB World Champ - Rachel Atherton who had a challenge to defend her title, you can only imagine the total carnage LOL.

UCI Mountain Bike Downhill Champ Rachel Atherton, won her 13th consecutive series earlier this year, swooping through the finish line of each trail of every race, leaving  the other riders to eat her dust!  Unfortunately time was not an element on her side this year - as she went down with a mechanical failure right at the beginning and wasn't able to challenge her own overtaking PB.  Though this caused insane adrenaline and hard grafting for the hounds  surrounding the defending champ, a handful of very lucky woman managed to overtake Rachel and cross the finish line - TCJ riders included!  It's not every day our very own TCJ and BaseCamp Bikes associated team riders place ahead of a reigning MTB World Champ.  Though she wasn't disheartened stating 'It was absolutely amazing. I got a puncture right at the start, but I knew I had to carry on – this is Red Bull Foxhunt! It was so cool watching the women riding down– I was right in the middle of everybody. I had to really think and use my head to get past people."
