Whisky Jerseys

by The Cycle Jersey |

Towards the end of 2018 we decided to introduce a couple new Whisky brands to our collection of Whisky cycling jerseys and as we are an office full of whisky enthusiasts we know that these distilleries were a no brainer.

Whisky [wiski]

'(Noun) 1.  The term whisky comes from the Gaelic 'uisge beatha', or 'usquebaugh', meaning 'water of life'. Gaelic is that branch of Celtic traditionally spoken in the Highlands of Scotland.'

Over the last year alone we have added 2 new whisky distillery's to our range and 5 new jerseys designs.

Torabhaig - Creates it's first distillery cycling jersey

The Torabhaig Distillery is the second ever licensed Single Malt Scotch Whisky distillery on the Isle of Skye. The water, land and the climate all play a massive part in the character of each and every whisky so you simply cannot build a Single Malt Scotch Whisky distillery anywhere. With this in mind they found the perfect location and spent 4 years restoring and re-building the new distillery.

It's early days still for Torabhaig as they have only been in full production since January 2017, meaning there whiskies are still taking shape. Three years is the minimum amount of time that a spirit must spend in a cask before it is Scotch Whisky and even at that, most would tell you that it takes much longer for a good Single Malt Whisky to come of age.

Torabhaigs' Single Malt Scotch Whisky will be born in 2020 and to make the wait more enjoyable we have two Torabhaig branded cycling jerseys for you to wear on your travels.

Both the red and the gold designs are available in road and enduro styles so that every whisky drinker has a choice.

North Star Spirits

North Star Spirits is a Glasgow based independent whisky bottler and they pride themselves on bottling the finest Single Malt Scotch Whisky, Blended Malt Scotch Whisky and Blended Scotch Whisky only. They specialise in artisan single cask whisky from Scotland and as they are small casks only there are sometimes only 250 bottles available.

Every cask is different which means that once North Star Spirits has sold out they have well and truly sold out. There are never two casks the same so once you have finished your bottle you will not be able to buy another one the same.

If you aren't into whisky then North Star can cater for you too as they also bottle small batch gins, rums and bourbon whisky. With three jersey designs to chose from we know you will have no problems matching your jersey to your bottle.
